Certify your language level with confidence and secure your fide test
Since January 2019, in order to obtain a residence or settlement permit in Switzerland, non-citizens must prove that they have knowledge of the language spoken in their place of residence (upgrade the required levels).
- Level A1 oral is required for the residence permit (B)
- Level A2 oral and A1 written for the settlement permit (C)
- Level B1 oral and A2 written for naturalization

The fide test certifies oral and written language skills in German, French and Italian.
It has been specially developed for everyday life in Switzerland on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).
Since 2019, Supercomm centres are accredited to take the fide test. In order to give you the best chance, we organise preparatory courses in small groups or in private.
